	The Alcohol Beverage Industry Electronic Commerce Council (ABI EC) provides a forum for members to work together to further the use of standards, e-commerce, and emerging technologies to improve the alcohol beverage supply chain. GS1 US has served as the organization’s Secretariat since 2002, providing members with access to standards-based solutions and education.
	SC 31 is a meeting place for the world’s experts on automatic identification, both within and without the GS1 System, and provides a platform to build the visibility and credibility of GS1 Standards. GS1 US has served as Secretariat for SC 31 since its inception in 1996 and provides administrative and technical support for the standardization of technologies for the process of automatic identification and data capture and of associated devices utilized in inter-industry applications and international business interchanges.
	The United Nations Standard Products and Services Code® (UNSPSC®) provides an open, global, multi-sector standard for efficient, accurate classification of products and services. GS1 US was appointed code manager by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in 2003 for UNSPSC, and is responsible for overseeing code change requests, industry revision projects, regularly scheduled code updates, and communications with members.
	The Voluntary Interindustry Commerce Solutions Association (VICS) is a not-for-profit association whose objective is to improve trading partner relationships in the extended retail supply chain, resulting in improved product availability to the consumer. GS1 US has served as Secretariat to VICS since 1999, providing standards liaison for VICS’ committees and administrative and operational support.
