Your GS1 Company Prefix allows you to create Global Trade Item Numbers® (GTIN®) for U.P.C.’s, Global Location Numbers (GLNs) for locations, and additional GS1 System identification numbers for products, locations, and logistics units.

If you have reached the maximum capacity of your current GS1 Company Prefix and need to create additional numbers, you must apply for an additional GS1 Company Prefix. Complete the online application form at www.gs1us.org/prefix. Your request will be processed by the next business day and you will receive a written response, including fees.
