Measurement Services
GS1 US offers products and services to help you ensure your dimensional data in the Global Data Synchronization Network® (GDSN®) is accurate, as well as standards compliant. Measurement Services are available on-site at your location or you can ship your product to the GS1 US Measurement Lab. These services are designed to support the launch of your data accuracy program, allowing you to focus resources on other key business areas.
Dimensioning Services include Measurement Services, Measurement Database, classroom training, web seminars, and tutorial CD.
Retailer Audit Services
How It Works:
  • Your suppliers ship products to the GS1 US Dimensioning Services lab on a regularly scheduled basis.
  • Their products are measured in accordance with the latest GS1 System standards.
  • The results are compared to the current Global Data Synchronization Network® (GDSN®) data that feeds your back-end systems.
  • Your suppliers receive data for corrective action.
How You and Your Suppliers Benefit:
  • Audits help discover dimensional data errors caused by design changes.
  • Your company receives electronic summary-level reporting that identifies supplier progress on data accuracy.
  • As an added benefit, we work closely with suppliers to determine the root cause of any discrepancies, and increase their knowledge of the GDSN Package Measurement Rules, their interpretation, and application.
Supplier Measurement Services - At GS1 US
How It Works: Ship your products to the GS1 US Lab where we measure and weigh your products in accordance with the latest GS1 System standards. The data is provided to you for entry into your internal system and the GDSN.

How It Works: GS1 US staff bring their expertise right to your location! We measure and weigh your products using the latest GS1 System standards. The data is provided to you for entry into your internal system and the GDSN.
